Another rough weekend to look back on. My first time driving north of the border at the infamous Mosport. Had a left front wheel hub break on the exit of flat out turn 1, parking early on the test day. Behind the curve and learning another a new track I had a close encounter with a local seagull as can be seen in the picture left. Started in P4 for round 6 and had some great battles with my teammate and fellow competitors. Finished in P4 and was looking for more. Well, this is the only time in my career I’m happy with a fifth in the second race. The start was aborted and the back markers piled into the front runners and I was sent into the wall. With no front splitter I restarted P6. I tried to battle with a bad handling car. The car was overheating and we got some lucky yellows. I inherited P5 and we finished that way. It was thrilling to get to race at Mosport, even with a little bad luck. Had second fastest time during the wet practice, which was great to know that my wet skills are still sharp. Now on to Trois-Riveres in Quebec, Canada.
